Abstract
The research aims to measure and analyze the total effect (direct and indirect) between the administrative ability of the research sample banks (the independent variable) and the lending behavior (the dependent variable) through the employment determinant (the mediator variable). 8 commercial banks were used, or 23% of the total listed banks In the Iraqi Stock Exchange of 35 banks for the period (2006-2020). Administrative capacity has an important role in the allocation and diversification of investments, including loans, which have suffered from a high concentration recently due to the low levels of administrative capabilities of the research sample banks. Management ability was measured and analyzed using Data Envelope Analysis (DEA), and lending behavior was measured by Herfndahl-Hirschman analysis method, and employment was measured by the natural log ratio of the number of employees. The hypotheses of the study were tested using the statistical program (SmartPLS.v.3.) The research reached a set of results, the most important of which is that there is a significant effect of the administrative ability of the research sample banks in the lending behavior through the employment determinant, and this research concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the need to pay attention The research sample banks raise the levels of their administrative capacity because of their positive effects on directing lending behavior through the employment determinant.
Abstract
Developing countries in general and Arab countries in particular suffer from high population growth, and that these population increases exert a great influence and pressure on the available economic and financial resources, This leads to imbalances in the structure of society, which may be accompanied by a kind of inequality and demolition in the value system of those societies, if it is not accompanied by an increase in investment and employment and the creation of new incomes that are redistributed in a way that reduces social differences, increases the domestic product and then economic growth . The study aims to measure the effect of the relationship between population growth and economic growth by using the (ARDL) model. The study concluded that the effect of population growth is positive on economic growth during the study period. The study recommends giving attention to the labor force and employing it in the production process in a way that reduces societal disparities and enhances economic growth.
Abstract
The research aims to identify the criteria that contributed to the entry of the University of Baghdad into the (QS ranking) for the year 2024, as well as to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the university's performance locally, regionally, and globally. It also aims to establish a set of mechanisms and procedures followed by the university to develop and improve its competitive position within global rankings. The research problem is that there is a weak ranking level in the QS classification of the University of Baghdad. The comparative method was adopted as the appropriate approach for the research orientations and achieving its goals. The study community included universities listed in the global (QS ranking), with the research sample being one of the Iraqi universities, the University of Baghdad. A benchmarking comparison was conducted with Al-Mustansiriya University locally, King Faisal University regionally, and the University of Florida globally. The most important results of the research indicate that the University of Baghdad excelled locally in the areas of academic reputation by a margin of (5.8%), employment by a margin of (6.1%), and research citations by a margin of (0.2%). Regionally, the university excelled in the area of graduate employment by a margin of (2.8%) and the ratio of professors to students by a margin of (19.5%). However, globally, the university did not excel in any of the indicators of the global QS ranking. A set of mechanisms was proposed to improve the performance of the University of Baghdad in the QS ranking, including the necessity of publishing research in reputable international journals to enhance its academic reputation regionally and globally.
Abstract
Using the Chi-Square test paradigm, this study investigates the effects of the financial and human resource activities of businesses engaged in the tourism industry in the Erbil/Kurdistan-Iraq region. Using cross-sectional data and straightforward randomization approaches, data were gathered from 100 tourist destinations. The model is employed in the finance and human resources departments to examine the effects of economic crises on regional economic growth. The findings demonstrated that the tourism industry in the area is being significantly impacted by the economic slump during the crisis. The economic crisis had a detrimental effect on both the operations of the company and the economy of the region, as shown by the application of the streamlined simulation-based static analysis framework. The expansion of the tourism industry and the Kurdistan region's economy are being hampered by the deteriorating level of living and purchasing power. The findings indicate that there is no relationship between gender and the tourism industry, and this finding can be interpreted as meaning that gender has little to no influence on the industry. The outcome demonstrates that there is no association between age group, marital status, and the tourism industry. This implies that all demographic factors have negligible effects on the tourism industry. This outcome may possibly be related to the fact that the tourism business is still developing and/or that it is too early to forge these connections because this sector is new to the Kurdistan area. The findings also suggest a connection between employment and the tourism industry. However, the findings indicate that the variable has a big impact on tourism. Additionally, a statistically significant relationship exists between the tourism industry and the economic crisis, as shown by the relationship between tourism characteristics, which includes statements like, "We will cancel/postpone previously planned recruitment, salary increases will be lower than planned, our team is concerned about the viability of the business, finance is getting harder to obtain, and our forecast: profits will fall."

Despite the successive governments’ efforts to achieve the dimensions of sustainable development in Iraq, the current reality indicates that Iraq remains one of the countries lagging in this field. Therefore, this research analyzes the status of the banking sector in light of banking reforms and the capital market’s role in promoting and achieving the dimensions of sustainable development. Fixed capital in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, which led to an increase in the amount of emissions, but by a small percentage, as every 1% increase in per capita renewable energy consumption reduces carbon dioxide emissions per capita by 0.07%, while every 1% increase in per capita non-renewable energy increases Carbon dioxide emissions per capita by 0.52% in ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, and green variables (revenues of forest resources, value added for each factor in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and consumption of renewable energy) were associated with an inverse relationship with carbon emissions in Indonesia. , that is, the increased use of these variables above reduced the percentage of carbon emissions, which achieves the hypothesis that the green economy positively affects the dimensions of sustainable development

The research includes the nature of the relationship between the causes of drug abuse as a dependent variable as a result of the effects of economic and social factors in the world with reference to Iraq as an independent variable. The research aims to clarify the complex interaction of many components surrounding society that lead to the alarming rise in drug abuse. By examining the network of socio-economic conditions and drug abuse, this analysis seeks to provide a broad understanding of the root causes, patterns and suggestions for individuals and societies. The study begins by discovering the socio-economic factors that force individuals to abuse drugs. Economic disparities, limited access to education and employment opportunities, and inadequate health care resources arise as major motivators. The study thus explores how these factors make the environment vulnerable to drug abuse, as individuals facing economic hardship may help to abuse drugs as a coping mechanism or a means of escape. Ultimately, this analysis advances the current debate on drug abuse by providing a nuanced understanding of the complex relationship between socioeconomic factors and drug abuse, and by highlighting the complex web of influences as causal variables for drug abuse, the study offers solutions and policy changes that can positively impact individuals and communities exacerbated by this prevalent concern
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the relationship between fiscal policy and poverty rates in Iraq during the period 2018–2023 by examining the structure of the public budget, including revenue and expenditure distribution (both operational and investment). The findings indicate that the rise in oil revenues did not effectively contribute to poverty reduction due to weak redistribution policies and reliance on temporary solutions such as public employment and the ration card system. Official poverty indicators based on socio-economic surveys reveal significant regional disparities, underscoring the limited impact of government measures. The study concludes that the lack of economic diversification and the dominance of a rentier structure have exacerbated poverty and recommends the implementation of more inclusive and sustainable development policies to address its root causes.
